All the debate aside, *that* scene with Buffy and Spike in Seeing Red is so important to me as someone who has been through similar. To see Buffy, someone I idolize, who stands for everything good, still being vulnerable to exactly the same problems as I’ve gone through and still being ready to save the world (a lot) after. It’s not formed part of her identity, and it’s not made her any less of a hero and that’s something I can take strength from.
