I might be the only one who realized this, but Willow sucked the life out of Anya too in S.7 “Get it Done”. Everyone was focused on Kennedy getting hurt.

I see a lot of hate for seasons 6 and 7 and I just don’t understand it. People act as if those seasons are bad or as if Buffy should have ended with “The Gift,” but I just disagree 100 percent. All 7 seasons of Buffy are amazing, they’re just all different.

The only reason I love Spike and Spuffy is because of Season 7. Before that he was just a monster, albeit with the capacity to love. Once he got his soul and returned to fight by Buffy’s side without expecting anything in return, he became a man who could understand and comfort her. I shudder at the thought that people actually wanted Spike to get together with Buffy in Season 5 and 6. He was an obsessed creepy stalker and a remorseless murderer who thought he deserved Buffy just because he wanted her.

Giles is without a doubt my favourite character. But there’s a small part of me which has never quite forgiven him for siding with the others in ‘Empty Places’, and throwing Buffy out of her own house. It just seemed so completely un-Giles like and made no sense to me. So I’ve decided to just blame the writers instead.

As much as I love Anya, I think it was her time to die. She’d been a demon for a long time, then human. She died when she finally understood what it meant to be human.
