I find it completely unfair that the Scoobies treated Willow so badly after Oz left. They showed sympathy to her, but when she wasn’t around, they talked about how tired they were of whiny, mopey Willow. Buffy ran away and didn’t contact anyone for months after Becoming, but they all complained when Willow was visibly destroyed for more than 3 episodes.

I love every single character in the Buffyverse unreservedly. They all have their very human failings and foibles, but I couldn’t love them if they didn’t It makes me sad when fans claim to hate any of them. I just think the only way you can hate any of them is if you haven’t taken the time to understand them properly.

Though I do understand why the Scoobies turned against Buffy in Season 7, I hate the way they treated her when she returned in “Dead Man’s Party.” They had no right to shun her or scold her the way they did after she saved the world, sent the love of her life to Hell, lost a friend, and got kicked out by her mother.

I always wonder if Jesse would’ve joined the Scoobies if he wasn’t sired.

I kind of wish one of the original Scoobies was killed in Chosen. I think it was a little too convenient that they all made it out fine.

It frustrates me how much the scoobies disregard Tara’s opinions after Joyce’s death, she often gives great insights on how Buffy and Dawn are feeling and even though death is different for everyone, she has a very accurate perspective on everything.

I wish Cordelia and Wesley had visited in a crossover from Angel, so that the Scoobies could have seen how much they’d grown.

Giles is a depressing character to me, I don’t think any of the scoobies appreciated him as much as they should have and seeing him sad and dejected at times just made me want to scream.

When fans complain that the presence of Spike in the later seasons destroyed the core Scooby dynamic, I always think of said character’s speech in The Yoko Factor: It seems to me that they never did, and maybe never could, maintain the closeness of the high school years post-graduation. Spike’s appearance, at first as a comic foil to replace Cordelia, coincided with the split, but was not the underlying cause.

I could be wrong, but it really bothers me that they only celebrated Buffy’s birthdays. (Oh, and yeah, Tara’s that one time) I get that slayers aren’t expected to live long, but neither are her friends who put their lives in danger and don’t even have natural super powers. I think, for me, it would have made the show more well rounded as opposed to everyone appearing to revolve around her and her self involvement.

I always like to wonder how the Scoobies would be like as parents, I think Oz would be the best dad and Tara the best mom.

I’m extremely annoyed with Xander’s snarky remark about Andrew being a virgin. I’m 16 and a proud virgin. I don’t see why Joss has to make all the Scoobies have sex in High School or College. Plus, Xander lost his virginity to Faith and actually thought it meant something to her. That’s way more pathetic than being a virgin.

I wish I had friends like the Scooby Gang. They’re like one big giant dysfunctional family and I love it.
