I hate how there is so much rivalry between Spike and Angel. Yes, Bangel is my OTP, but I think Buffy needed different things at different points of her life, and when they stopped working for her, they ended. Both Spike and Angel have awesome moments, so can we just leave it at that?

It always annoyed me that no matter where Buffy was in her life, no matter how much she’d grown up and developed as a person, no matter what relationships she had made with others, every time Angel came back, she reverted straight back to naive 16-year-old Buffy. Because of this, I find it very difficult to like Angel.

Much as I love Buffy and Angel, it does annoy that Angel’s somehow always the one calling all the shots. This is most clear in “I will remember you” where he decided to erase everyone’s memories as well as become a vampire again. Not once was Buffy confided in when he decided upon it. While all of his decisions were made out of love, I never liked how Buffy was never a part of them.

Buffy and Angel will always be my OTP, even though Spike/Buffy and Angel/Cordelia make more logical sense to me. As Spike said, “love isn’t brains children, it’s blood.”

I always get sad when I remember that Buffy and Angel didn’t end up together, but at the same time I’m glad they didn’t.

The fact that Spike loved Buffy with and without a soul and Angel didn’t, always really annoyed me. Because Buffy was meant to be Angels true love, not Spikes.

Buffy and Angel’s first kiss gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. It’s sad to already know they’re not going to be together in the end. But still, I love seeing them together.
